are so smitten, they have had tattooes of each other's names etched on them.

The pair were recently rumoured to be dating in secret after hooking up in Los Angeles, where they both live.

Neither Murphy - who split from his wife last year (05) - or the former Spice Girl have confirmed the romance, but friends say they are lovestruck.

A pal says, "Within days of it all beginning, she had his name tattooed on her hip. I've heard he had one, too. It all seems a bit fast, but that's just Mel - she's very impulsive."
