Kimberly Stewart sues British newspaper

ROD STEWART's socialite daughter KIMBERLY is suing a British newspaper after they reported she was sleeping with British comedian RUSSELL BRAND.

Earlier this month (JUL06), the 26-year-old blonde was photographed entering BIG BROTHER presenter Brand's London home at 3am, sparking reports they were more than friends.

This year (06), Brand has enjoyed alleged flings with supermodel KATE MOSS and several Big Brother contestants, while Kimberly recently split from fiance TALAN TORRIERO and has been linked to JACK OSBOURNE and CALUM BEST.

Kimberly says she horrified by the photos and accompanying story, explaining, "I can't comment on it too much because I'm taking legal action against the newspaper that printed our photos, but what was printed was a completely false story. Russell and I are just friends.

"The night they took the picture, I actually got locked out of the place I was staying, so I went back to Russell's place to wait for a cab, that's all that happened.

"The papers have always been quite nice to me in Britain so it's really unfortunate they wrote what they did and assumed it was something more. It was really not nice. It was very hurtful and disappointing for me. I'm used to the paparazzi in Los Angeles but not in Britain."
