Madonna apologises to Australian fans after snubbing country from tour
Quote:
Madonna has begged forgiveness from Australian fans after snubbing the country from her Confession tour so she can take her children to school instead.
Daughter Lourdes, nine, and son Rocco, five, were bitterly disappointed as they were looking forward to meeting the nation's special wildlife down under.
Madonna last performed in Australia during her Girlie Show tour in 1993 and has found herself as the subject of several petitions by Aussie fans in recent years, who are desperate for her to grace their arenas.
But the popstar mum remains firm that their education is more important than her singing career and she can't have the children away from school for so long.
Madonna says to fans, "Please forgive me. Unfortunately, the logistics just didn't work out this time around. You remain in my heart".

Seems kind of odd she could never fit Oz in. Couldn't she give something else up sometime to appease them?

Oh, no worries Ester, they do not care. Actually, they are probably quite thankful. In fact, if you could keep your skanky, no talent ass from EVER touring again, the planet would be thankful.

I'm an Aussie and I'm not desperate for her to 'grace our arenas' either.

Madonna chooses motherhood over money
"Material Girl" Chooses Motherhood Over Money
Posted Jul 19th 2006 11:38AM by TMZ Staff
Despite spending the summer crucified on a cross, dancing in a leotard and writhing on a horse saddle, the world's hottest 47-year-old mother of two has chosen traditional family values instead of milking her Australian fans for more cash.
Madonna has decided not to take her wildly successful Confessions Tour down under because her children, Lourdes and Rocco, need to get back to school.
On her official website, Madge writes "We looked into going from Japan to Australia and ending the show there but I have to get my kids back to school in England and they are, as you can understand, my most important priority."
The pop queen goes on to say "I'm not retiring anytime soon and I am gonna get to Australia as soon as I can."
And for those of you wondering if Madonna is still relevant after all these years, according to pollstar.com, her Confessions Tour is already the top-grossing tour of 2006. It has raked in over $54 million and still has two more months to go before winding down in Tokyo on September 20.

Another Aussie who doesn't give a toss if she comes or not. Who exactly are all these 'fans' she's letting down?

So where's all the apologies she owes to the countries she DID visit!?

Her tour is top grossing this year because she's charging an arm and a leg for the tix.
