Nicollette Sheridan and her fiancé, actor Nicklas Soderblom, have called it quits, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.
"Nicollette Sheridan and Nicklas Soderblom have parted ways after a year and a half," according to a statement from Sheridan's publicist, Nicole Perna. "They ask that you respect their privacy at this time."
The Desperate Housewives star and Soderblom got engaged last winter. (He also gave her a golden retriever – which she named Oliver – for her 41st birthday Nov. 21. "Oliver is my new love," Sheridan told PEOPLE at the time.)
On Oct. 15, while hosting the Los Angeles Red Cross Celebrity Auction at a private home in Beverly Hills, Sheridan laughed off rumors that she and her fiancé, were calling it quits. "They should get the facts right before they print things," Sheridan, who attended the affair with Soderblom, told PEOPLE.
Sheridan was previously married to L.A. Law actor Harry Hamlin. The pair wed in 1991 while she was starring on Knots Landing. They separated the following year.
