IS former big-screen everyman Chevy Chase trying to start a feud with his modern-day counterpart, Vince Vaughn? "Recently, I saw a commercial with, is it Nicole Kidman? No, no - Jennifer What's Her Name? from 'Friends,' " Chase tells Details. "And some guy. I had never seen him. I don't know who the [bleep] he is. He looks like some refrigerator repairman." (Chase was referring to a commercial for the Jennifer Aniston/Vaughn comedy, "The Break-Up.") Chase, who starred in "Caddyshack" and "Fletch," also relays a weird running joke he shares with his teenage daughter. "My youngest, who's 17, seems to be identical to the way I was in my perception of the world," he told Details. "I mean, I can remember the first time I called her a whore. We just laughed for half an hour. Because she's anything but. But she gets it immediately and laughs. I'd call her every day down at school; she might pick up and say, 'Whoretown!' She said something the other day like, 'Dad, how much should I charge?' "

He's known to be an ass. When comedy Central had a roast for him none of his former coworkers wanted to come. The network had to beg.

He doesn't sound like he's 'all there'. He's one hell of a good actor though, he'd have to be, usually plays a nice dork in movies, a far cry from who he really is.

Thanks - I am now sitting at my desk laughing just remembering some of the scenes that I love from that movie. Some people need to see It's a Wonderful Life to feel like it is the holidays. I just need Christmas Vacation while I am wrapping gifts and all the world right again! LOL

i liked him in The Invisible Man w/ Darrel Hannah and Nothing But Trouble w/ Demi Moore and Dan Akroyd and the Natl. Lampoom movies except for the stupid Vegas one b/c he plays an ass and thats his comedic styling, but he really is an asshole that whats i've heard and a nobody now so who cares; he's just pathetic.

Cousin Eddy emptying the chemical toilet in his skivvies belching and waving to all. Ah, that was a classic. Chevy Chase was an amazing physical actor, those pratfalls on SNL had me wincing on several occasions. How the mighty have fallen.
