Sexy actress NATALIE PORTMAN has denied reports she appears nude in new movie GOYA'S GHOSTS.
Reports stated the STAR WARS beauty would bare all in the biopic of Spanish painter FRANCISCO GOYA, in which she plays the artist's muse who is accused of atheism and then stripped as punishment.
But her spokesperson says, "It is a body double in the scene and the double is in profile and in shadow. You see nothing."
I don't think doing nude scenes equates being a serious actress. It's just that I don't see why anyone would want to see Natalie Portman naked. She's got a cute face but she has the body of a 9 year-old boy.
I agree with shaki80. I don't get why getting nude means your a "serious" actress. If that's the case. Jenna Jameson is the most serious actress of all time. After all those other lower actress only fake love sences.

As an actress, you do what your character does, period. You don't see stage actresses getting body doubles. If you can't understand the difference between that and porn or gratuitous nudity like Basic Instinct, well then, you've got bigger problems.
Well if it's written into the script is it really gratuitous or porn? See that's the problem with this actresses doing what the character does concept that a lot of people have. Jenna as an actress has to go down on that guy. It's in the script that her character Candy the lonely girl scout does that. Sharon Stone has to flash her beaver. If it's written for her character then she must do it right? Well, obviously there is a difference in porn and nudity or whatever else. But that's a judgement call. If you can look at something and say it's unnesscary and not needed. Why then can't the actress do the same? Stage acting and film acting are very different as well. You don't see stage actresses getting retakes from a different angle either.
