Kate Moss wants her daughter Lila to speak Spanish

Supermodel KATE MOSS has enrolled her three-year-old daughter LILA GRACE for private Spanish lessons.
The British beauty, who regularly visits the Balearic isle of Ibiza, is keen for the tot to get a head start in languages.

The 32-year-old regrets giving up on school when her modelling career took off in her teens, and is adamant her daughter will get an excellent education.

A friend tells British newspaper the Daily Express, "She wants things to be different for Lila, and thinks Spanish is a really important language for her to learn.

"She wants Lila to be fluent in the language by the time she's a teenager, and doesn't think she's too young to be starting lessons at three. It's already going well, Lila's picked up a few Spanish words."

MADONNA's children ROCCO and LOURDES attend a French-speaking school in London, and they often confuse the MUSIC singer and her husband GUY RITCHIE by speaking in the foreign tongue.

GWYNETH PALTROW and CHRIS MARTIN have also been teaching their eldest daughter APPLE Spanish.

I'd love to learn a second language. I can speak a little French and a little Spanish but only the basics.

This is OT but I saw Pete Doherty on Jonathon Ross on Friday and he's actually gone up in my estimation. Although he is a druggy and a waste of space he seemed genuine when he said he loved the bones of Kate and was willing to get off the drugs for her and to sort his life out. He came across as a really sweet and deep man.

The supermodel's daughter Lila Grace is just three-years-old but Kate has arranged private language lessons for her because she desperately wants her child to speak a second language.

A friend told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "She wants Lila to be fluent in the language by the time she's a teenager, and doesn't think she is too young to be starting language lessons at three.

"Apparently, it's going really well, as Lila's already picking up a few Spanish words.

"Kate's modelling career took off when she was 14 so she never got the chance to develop fully at school. She wants things to be different for Lila, and thinks Spanish is a really important language for her to learn, even at such a young age."

Kate, 32, checked into rehab last year after she was photographed snorting cocaine.

Lila's father, publisher Jefferson Hack, voiced concerns for his daughter's welfare after the scandal and about Kate's relationship with rocker Pete Doherty.

But Kate has not given up all her old ways. She has recently been romantically linked to a string of famous men, including British TV presenter Russell Brand, model Jamie Burke and 'Dirty Pretty Things' guitarist Anthony Rossomando.

Since the drug controversy Kate has landed lucrative contracts with Burberry, Calvin Klein and Virgin Mobile and her earnings for 2006 are expected to reach

£10 million.

It's good to teach her early because children can pick up foreign languages a lot more easily than adults. I think Lila is lucky that Kate can afford private lessons and wants to give her the huge advantage of being bilingual.

Well,Good for Lila if she gets used to hearing & speaking different languages at such a young age.The younger the better.

It's going to be pretty bad when Lila gets older and starts swearing at her mother in Spanish. I was bilingual until I was 6 (Korean & English) & my father forbid me to speak any Korean after I told him to kiss a certain part of my anatomy. He doesn't understand Korean, but he apparently understood that much. He told my mother that he was NOT going to have a child tell him off in a language that he couldn't speak or understand.
