"My early life was a complete nightmare. My father left home and my mother then married a guy who never liked my brother JOE and me. I would have had kids with Carre, but our relationship broke up because of faults on both sides, and if I had children now I'd only want them if I was in a special relationship like that."

I didn't post it but I actually came across another gossip article about Mickey Rourke (maybe I'll post it tmr

) with some sex addiction. I'm wondering why all of a sudden he's getting media attention. Does he have a movie coming up or something?

^ Sin City 2, they will have to film it first though. Anyway, i don't consider one or two interviews in ages as getting alot of media attention or so.

Well, he's had none until now so I was just wondering and I didn't say he was getting a lot of attention, just a few interviews or quotes I guess but they make the news for some reason I didn't know about (= Sin City 2 as you say).

he's a washed-up has-been and no matter how many fingers he cuts off or how many interviews he gives lamenting not having children (which, given history is a blessing) - his star has long since died out. Think 9-1/2 weeks and that was about it, the beginning of the end...

Mel, all of that is perfectly said but how could you leave out his face? Come on man, his face of all things? It looks butchered and bloated. Like a stuck pig who was left in a trough of water or something overnight. (shudders)

I was TRYING to be nice - gentle, you know we don't have to point out ALL the man's faults..

I also didn't mention his bathing (or lack therof) habits...

I have to agree with you on this one. He really ruined his face, didn't have great one to begin with, but those plastic surgeries are so ugly. His excuse was due to the many hits he had on his face, from his boxing, he had to undergo several surgeries!

He was only with Carre Otis for a year? I thought it was longer than that. I remember them being on the news all the time because they were always kicking each others' asses. They were in a very abusive relationship--didn't he used to hit her? No wonder he doesn't want kids. And he says he might consider children if he was in another relationship like 'that' again? Please, don't!

I remember reading that he also shot Carre Otis. Great relationship...

I'm glad he didn't pass his genes, he never struck me as particularly stable. I think he's a pretty good actor, though. Pity he has disfigured himself so much the only way I can watch him is if he's under insane amounts of makeup like in Sin City. He was the best thing about that film, awesome performance. And he was also in one of my favourite movies of all time, Angel Heart. I just love that film!
