She may not exactly be Lindsay Wagner, but as Angelina Jolie is trying to do so much these days with a new family and a new home the actress has been dubbed 'the bionic woman' by pals, according to a report from In Touch.

"Angelina's new nickname is the bionic woman," a friend reportedly tells the weekly magazine.

"She's so independent that she instinctively wants to do everything," another pal says.

But another report claims that the unmarried father of baby Shiloh, Brad Pitt, is reportedly finally putting his foot down and trying to keep Angelina in check and set some boundaries so she can relax a bit.

Angie seems to understand according to the report.

Just days after giving birth to Shiloh, and even while she was dreading returning to LA, according to Life & Style Angie told a friend, “Brad has changed so much for me — I have to compromise and go with him. I’m so used to being a single mom, I forget that I have to bend on occasion. It’s not just me anymore.”

And perhaps Brad's hard work to help Jolie is working.

“A year ago, Angie would’ve just taken the kids and done what she wanted to do,” a Jolie family friend tells Life & Style.

“She was extremely independent. Now she’s learning to share the power and decision making with the man she loves, for the good of the family. It’s a huge adjustment for her, but she’s determined to make this relationship work.”

Even as the new 'bionic woman' - she can use some help from her boyfriend.

Give and take. Bend once in a while....if it's going to work between them, they BOTH better learn to compromise. That goes for any couple. Hopefully with the divorces they've both experienced with other people, they've learned what it takes to make it work this time around. They have kids to think about now.
