The "American Idol" winner has signed a contract to promote her favourite flavour of Vitamin Water but bosses at Glaceau, the company that manufactures the drink, feel she needs to lose some weight before they use her to advertise the beverage. The drink claims to contain 50 percent of your daily vitamin requirements and is popular with athletes.
Kelly - who will promote Kiwi and Strawberry flavoured 'Focus' Vitamin Water - has been put on a strict all-organic diet and has even hired a professional chef to prepare all her meals while on her "Addicted" tour. The star previously revealed she joined forces with Glaceau to help encourage young people to make healthier choices.
She said: "Why I love the Vitamin Water campaign is a lot of kids just down soda and it's not good. "Obviously I have a lot of young fans, so that's why we teamed up. I just realized that I have a platform. If you have a voice, you might as well make it a positive one."
Last year, 50 Cent endorsed his favourite flavour of Vitamin Water.
