Joan Rivers is siding with Star Jones Reynolds. The tart-tongued comic says that the axed co-host of “The View” was right to announce on air that she was fired. “I’m not one of the girls, so I don’t give a [bleep] — as long as they keep using me on ‘The View,’” Rivers told the podcast The Strip. “But if someone was firing me, I’d come out and say I was fired. … Star did exactly the right thing.” . .

I have to agree that Star had the right to say she was fired. ABC offered her the opportunity to make up a stroy or better yet, find a new gig and claim she was leaving by her own choice to pursue a new opportunity. She couldn't get a new gig so she had no way to save face. Star made the choice to say she was fired. The problem is that she did it without telling anyone that it was the choice she had made or that she intended to do it that way. She did it on purpose to get herself more attention.
