'Lost Star' Michelle Rodriguez Blasted By Animal Rights Activists
by BANG
Jul 5, 2006
'Lost' star Michelle Rodriguez has been blasted by animal rights activists for taking a baby tiger cub to a nightclub. The actress played with Skanda, a nine-week-old white tiger, for a charity event she was hosting in aid of a nature sanctuary.
PETA have now slammed the star for using the endangered animal for entertainment purposes.
A spokesman for the animal rights organisation, Dan Mathews, said: "These are wild animals, not party animals.
"We know Michelle Rodriguez is an animal lover, but I think she is unaware how infant animals need to be around their mother and not a clanging party scene.
"They're not meant to be an ornament at a party, even one that is designed to raise money for animals. It kind of defeats the purpose."
Rodriguez fed the baby tiger a bottle full of milk and went swimming with it in a pool.
The tiger was said to have looked distressed as it scrambled around the venue.
Club owner Satsky, who paid $10,000 to hire the tiger, said: "The music was bothering him a little bit. But his trainer was constantly feeding him milk, so that kind of calms him down."

This is upsetting to hear. Don't give a shit about Michelle she looks like a man. I just get really wound up with animals being put into situations like this.

The owner paid for the tiger & she brought it. We already know her judgment isn't sound so why should this shock. Poor tiger - having to listen to club music all night. You'd think people would just know this isn't a smart move.

What about dogs being confined in Loius Vuitton bags and being carried to functions and up and down the red carpet? Nick Lachey brought a puppy onstage to surprise Jessica for her birthday once. Michelle is not the only celeb idiot out there. I do hate her though.

I saw that with Jess & Nick, my very first thoughts were poor puppy, it's too loud and he looks petrified. Some people should not be allowed to have pets if they don't have the ability to realise that there are places you don't take animals.

That's fucking stupid, you don't bring a young animal like that to a club! The din alone would drive it fucking crazy!
Why are people so stupid?

Yeah, it was stupid, but truthfully, tigers are one of the only members of the cat family that actually like water and they are really good swimmers. Still, they are not best suited for a loud, crowded nightspot. It's cute to look at, but very cruel to do that to the tiger.

The club owner paid to have the tiger there??? and there was a trainer. I'm thinking that maybe they're to blame for this crap.

That's cruel. There should be laws against this kind of thing, and the fucking animals should come with owners manuals for hollywood retards.
