Nick Lachey still watches "Newlyweds" show

Nick Lachey is still trying to work through his painful split with estranged wife Jessica Simpson, but shockingly still watches episodes of their reality show Newlyweds: Nick And Jessica and finds them hysterical.

The couple separated in November (05) and Lachey recently found time to sit down and watch some of the old shows.

He explains, "I haven't seen them for over two-years and I found myself laughing again, despite all that's going on."

The couple, finalised their divorce yesterday, and Lachey is certain the couple's celebrity status added strain to their marriage.

He explains, "If you let it, it can (add stress). It's certainly easier said than done to avoid it.

"But you don't get a chance to go back and change things, do you?

"You make your decisions at the time and hope they work out."

Oh, I think you can be a generally nice guy genuinely in love with an idiot and still find rationalizations to cheat. Some guys can be many things at once.

I think he cheated because of all the reports from strippers, ex-Miss USA's, etc. and most importantly because of his huge mistake of hitting on a reporter at that Jaguars football game a while back, who of course, reported that he tried to get her phone number and was shamelessly hitting on her the whole night.

I agree he's a nice guy, but I also think it's hard for many men to resist so many women throwing themselves at you when you're famous and good-looking. It's not right, but it happens all the time.

I think they both cheated. I don't know all the gossip, I haven't heard or read all the rumors, but I still think they both cheated.

I think she definitely cheated and he was loyal. I've never, ever understood why he stayed with her as long as he did. When the separation announcement came out, I thought for sure he'd finally wised up and dumped her. I was stunned it was the other way around.

It's obvious he still loves her deeply. Watching old shows, writing about her on his new album, talking about her....The guy had it bad. She's a twit, Nick and not worthy of you!!! She'll regret it all down the road - trust me on this one!

I agree with Beeyotch. I've known a lot of guys that were in love with their significant other and still cheated. I think Nick was one of them.

I wonder now about his motivations for airing all his feelings publically. I think he knows that a lot of the public sympathizes with him and he's playing it up and capitalizing on it - smart move since he's got an album full of 'poor me' songs. It's not bad enough to make me start sympathizing with Jessica, though.

Beeyotch and Laurent are right: Just cuz a man loves someone don't mean he won't cheat. It happens all the time. My whole world was rocked a couple years ago when I found out one of my very dear friends cheated on his wife. Long story short, though, they eventually became a threesome. But that ended after 6 months or so, maybe 10. Still: it happened.
