HE'S meant to be one of rock's hard men but Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden is a real softie at heart.

Joel, 26-year-old boyfriend of actress/singer Hilary Duff, is a huge fan of girly shows The OC and Desperate Housewives.

"He's obsessed," confirms Hilary, 18, who releases her new single, Wake Up, next week.

"We were at a restaurant recently and Joel made us move tables because we overheard people talking about the latest episode of The OC which we hadn't seen yet. He didn't want to know the plot."
