The Oscar-winning actress - married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin - has recorded some tracks with music producer William Orbit at his London studio and the results are said to be "brilliant".
According to reports, William revealed to a friend: "We bumped into each other and got talking and it turned out she was keen to do some recording. We've already done a track which will make a brilliant first single."
The producer was highly recommended to the 'Sliding Doors' star by her close friend Madonna, who worked with Orbit on her 'Ray Of Light' album.
Paltrow proved she could sing when she starred in the karaoke-themed film 'Duets'.
However, it seems the Hollywood star has no plans to record a duet with husband Chris.
A source revealed: "She would not work on music with her husband, she feels like she would be treading on his toes."
