Wow, that's three this past 10 days who've come out about their anorexia
Scarlett Pomers' Brave Battle
"Reba" actress SCARLETT POMERS, 17, recently made headlines for her battle with anorexia, now the TV star is getting noticed at one of Teen People's "20 Teens Who Will Change The World."
Scarlett, who reached a shocking 73 pounds at the height of her eating disorder, is currently in therapy and now in recovery after two months of care at an inpatient facility. She is being honored by the magazine for her work as ambassador for NEDA (National Eating Disorders Association) and is in the process of launching Arch Angels, an organization that will raise money for people who can't afford treatment for their eating disorders.
"There are girls who can't get help because their insurance companies say they're not sick enough," she tells the magazine, on newsstands March 3. "It's a mental illness and unless you get help right away, it will take over your life."
Scarlett's "Reba" castmates have been more than supportive of her recuperation. "The show will always be here for her," REBA McENTIRE told ET, who was recently on the set for their recent 100th anniversary episode.
Scarlett hasn't been seen on the series this season, but her role as Reba's youngest daughter Kyra is in no jeopardy of being recast.
"The most important thing is for her health to get back to normal," Reba said. "We're waiting for her, but the No. 1 thing is for her to get healthy and to come back."

^ The sad thing is that some might use their ED to get fame.
that and it isnt news that she had anorexia. There have been a lot of stories about her. The news here is that she was voted 'People's "20 Teens Who Will Change The World".'
Good on her, for taking her illness and doing something with it.

I don't blame these girls. I really don't. People are so critical over women and their looks, is it any wonder they starve themselves? It's really sad.
Thats what happens when the media picks on people like Reese Witherspon. If they stop relentlessly putting talentless bombos in their magazines, ie Jessica Simpson & Paris Hilton & airbrushing to death there would be less image problems amoung youth.

its more then that, they need to stop saying how glamerous nicole richie and lohan and barton look when they're so sickly looking and stop pointing out how 'chubby' someone is or how they are oh so curvy when they look like jessica alba. They've screwed with whats normal, nobody knows what their bodies should look like anymore.

There's been a bit of lashback against nicole richie, I think some mags have pointed she's too skinny....but it'll be like
Nicole Richie on a beach - Way too skinny!!!!!
Nicole Richie wearing a t-shirt - Perfect body!!!!
and then they point out how horrible she looked before she lost weight. Its really really disgusting how they can treat just one person. But then multiply it by just about ever other 'teen idol' right now and thats a whole lot of all ready messy teenagers getting the worst mixed signals about their own bodies.
