Good riddance. She knew who killed that baby.
Patsy Ramsey, whose 6-year-old daughter JonBenet's 1996 slaying has never been solved, died Saturday of cancer, her lawyer said. She was 49.
Ramsey had been battling ovarian cancer since 1993 and suffered a recurrence three years ago, attorney L. Lin Wood said. Her husband, John, was with her at the time of her death.
JonBenet was found beaten and strangled in her parents' Boulder, Colo. basement on Dec. 26, 1996. A grand jury investigation ended with no indictments, and no arrests have been made.
The Ramseys said an intruder killed their daughter but a cloud of suspicion hung over the couple. The district attorney and a federal judge in Colorado have said it is likelier that an intruder was responsible.
JonBenet's death became fodder for tabloids and the subject of books.
"I think people realize now that this family was very much victims of that murder and have suffered greatly because of it in terms of the false accusations made against them," Wood told CNN Saturday.
Patsy Ramsey said she found a ransom note on the back staircase of the family's home demanding $118,000 for the safe return of JonBenet. John Ramsey said he found his daughter's body in a basement room, wrapped in a white blanket eight hours later.
An autopsy concluded JonBenet suffered a skull fracture, and was strangled and beaten.
The couple wrote a book, "The Death of Innocence," which was published in 2000.
They later left Colorado and had residences in Atlanta and in Michigan, where John Ramsey unsuccessfully ran for a state House seat in 2004. The Ramseys discussed their daughter's death during the campaign.
"We can't just hold our breath and hope the killer will be found and then go on with our lives," Patsy Ramsey said in 2004. "We have to move ahead now. We can't let evil win."

An intruder killed little Jon-Benet. Right, and pigs have wings. Wonder how many folks were paid off so the Ramseys could be cleared. I always thought Patsy Ramsey killed that poor little girl, so I can't say I regret her passing.
I agree.Originally Posted by ediebrooks
From what I've read, the police concluded that no one entered the house from outside after the guests had left and the place was locked up for the night. Patsy Ramsey's handwriting matched the writing on the ransom note and strands of her hair and fibres from her clothes were found on Jon-Benet's body. With that alone, anyone else would've been slammed behind bars post-haste.
I always thought she had something to do with Jonbenet's death. However there have been confirmed reports that there was DNA found on Jonbenet's body that doesn't match any family members or anyone who was tested by police. So, now I'm not so sure.
Even if she didn't have anything to do with the murder, she still dressed up her daughter like a doll and paraded her around in beauty pageants when she should have been enjoying her life as a small child doing normal things.
Something wasn't right about her. You can't ever predict exactly how people will react to death, but her reaction was bizarre and I always felt like she knew something about Jon Benet's death.

maybe it was her secret that killed her in the end, as well as the cancer.
I remember reading that the police were hoping she'd confess on her deathbed.
Ouch! I had hoped and prayed that they would find Jon Benet's killer before she died so that if she was guilty she/they would be prosecuted and if they were innocent they would be vindicated. I am very sad that she died before that could happen.
Law enforcement bungled this case from the beginning. Why on earth would they let the Dad pick up the body and carry it and move it from the scene. I fear this case will never be concluded.
It will never be solved. Someone paid alot of money to keep themselves out of prison, in my opinion.
Any couple who would hire a publicist and public relations firm a few days after their child dies is beyond me...
I know that doesn't make them guilty of killing their daughter, I just think that's very odd behavior from grieving parents...
I hope she was in alot of pain and thought about her oncoming trip into hell for she did to her little girl.
I know people react to grief differently. Their behavior was so off, it was shocking nobody was ever charged.

The bitch was a freak, and I'm convinced she killed her daughter for some twisted, fucked-up reason. She was a goddamn Pageant Mom, so of course she had a whole set of screws loose.
And her husband knew what she did. They both should rot in a corner like fetid trash.
