Kate Moss' mother in cancer fight

KATE Moss was devastated last night after discovering her mum is fighting cancer.

Linda Moss, 57, is receiving treatment at a private hospital for a cancerous mole on her neck.

The news is the latest blow for Kate, 32, who has been inseparable from Linda since the supermodel’s cocaine shame.

A close family friend said last night: “This cancer scare has knocked Kate for six. It is a really anxious time for her.”

The pal said Linda had tests as soon as she found the mole.

She is being given cryotherapy — freezing the diseased area — as an outpatient at The Old Sutton Hospital in Sutton, Surrey.

Linda, from Croydon, fell out with Kate over her relationship with junkie ex Pete Doherty.

But they have been seeing each other more than ever since Kate ditched him.

Linda is a frequent visitor to Kate’s homes in London and Gloucestershire.

The friend added: “Not only is Linda her mum, she is also a wonderful granny to Kate’s kid, Lila Grace.”

Metropolitan Police last week decided not to press charges against Kate over film showing her chopping up lines of white powder — believed to be cocaine — at a recording studio.
