Julia Roberts wore the same dress twice after 7 year

Julia Roberts caused a stir by greeting fans on Broadway wearing a seven-year-old dress.

The actress last wore the red sequinned garment to the London premiere of 'Notting Hill', in 1999, where she shocked onlookers by revealing her hairy armpits as she waved to the crowd.

Roberts slipped into the knee-length Vivienne Tam shift dress again last weekend to greet fans before her final performance in Broadway show 'Three Days Of Rain'.

Back in 1999, Roberts was dating actor Benjamin Bratt and revealed she didn't shave her armpits because he found it a "turn on".

The 'Pretty Woman' star is now married to cameraman Danny Moder and the couple have 20-month-old twins, Phinnaeus and Hazel.

Her three month run at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre was dogged by bad reviews.

However, fans jammed the theatre to see Roberts in her farewell performance.

One fan said: "Julia could have read the alphabet and I would come to see her."

I hate underarm hair. Is this an American thing, for women to shave their armpits? I would be mortified to be photographed with a toupee under my arms.

I think it would have been just horrible if she had worn it again after 5-6 years, but 7 is ok

It's not an American thing, but it's cultural... in Switzerland the French and Italian speaking women do it, German speaking women are often a bit too natural

Many European women don't shave. Russian/Ukrainian/Hungarian women to name a few more. Chinese Women don't either, although they have very little body hair, but it is weird to have them serve you a meal (when we were in China) and you could see a woman's armpit hair.

I hope no one gets offended by this and it may be a little off topic but at an audition for an aerial dancing show we all had to do mid-air crunches on the low trapeze to warm up. We were all strangers to each other and pretty uneasy so I tried not to watch anyone else do their exercises as it was one at a time and damn hard to do. I knew how nervous I was when everyone was watching me. But as my eyes scan the people around me instead of the performer at that time I notice everybody's faces going all strained. I look to the trapeze and the woman has major pit bush. At an audition. For aerial dancing, you know, where your arms are going to be over your head the entire time?

A friend of mine came from Europe many years ago and worked in a filing
department.
Her supervisor took her aside and told her that in Canada it was
customary for women to shave their underarms. She said that
she really appreciated being told and when she got home from work
that day, the first thing she told her husband was that she had to
shave her armpits.
