Victoria Beckham looking down her nose at other Soccer wives

Whether it's dancing on table tops in Baden Baden, sinking a few cocktails or hitting the local shops, they seem united in pleasure-seeking.

They've got the men. They've got the black Am Ex cards. They've also got hours, days and possibly weeks to fill while the lads train.

So there they are, having their very own kind of a ball and turning the World Cup into one long, glorious hen party.

And who can blame them? Not the boutique and bar owners of Baden Baden or the fans who seem to be enjoying the sideshow.

But one person seems to be looking down her nose at all the conspicuous consumption - the England captain's wife.

Victoria Beckham hasn't really been seen out on the town, staying holed up in her hotel with her kids and her apparent protege, Cheryl Tweedy.

The Girls Aloud singer, who is engaged to Ashley Cole, is becoming more like the former Posh Spice by the second. Same over-extended hair. Same undernourished figure. Same superiority complex.

This pair of sugar-free lollipops appear to have formed their own two-woman band - Girls Aloof.

They have even been ordering identical meagre meals while the rest of the girls tuck in freely.

In their expensive, ladylike and ageing dresses, Victoria and Cheryl appear more like minor royals than footballers' wives. Probably that is their intention and they'll be in long gloves and hats next.

At least the Wags, in their summer shorts and floaty frocks, seem normal.

Whether they are hanging out by the pool, hitting the shops or enjoying an afternoon tipple they are like any gang of girls abroad.

Even when the two groups do come together, Victoria and her acolyte stay apart.

So despite eating in the same restaurant, while the rest of the gals are getting well tore into the food and booze, there's Mrs Beckham and Cheryl, sitting at their separate table, sipping diet I colas and nibbling sushi.

The sad thing is that it doesn't seem to make either of them happy. Look at the pictures. Who is enjoying themselves more?

Which lot look as if, after they've sunk a few more sherbets they'll not only be belting out the karaoke but getting everyone else in the joint to join in?

And then there are the other pair. Not a hair extension out of place. Perfectly groomed. Perfectly miserable.

Cheryl once sang Life Got Cold but if she sticks with Victoria, she'll soon become as frozen as her new best friend.

Um, where exactly are the ladylike dresses? I saw slutty too short shorts.

Anyway, hanging out in their hotel rooms with their children doesn't *neccesarily* mean they are looking down their noses at anyone.

That is such bull; compare pictures of her in her posh spice days to now. She had a way better body back then, and her breasts were not nearly as big and fake looking as they are now.
