Britney Spears interview: being a mom,55-hour marriage,broken friendship with Madonna

She also said she had “no regrets” about her 55-hour marriage to childhood sweetheart JASON ALEXANDER in Las Vegas.

And she admitted she had fallen out with former best pal MADONNA — because Britney is no longer a follower of the Kabbalah religion.

In her most revealing interview yet, Britney stormed: “I do not care what people say. At the end of the day it is just words. I don’t allow anyone to change me. I still walk out of my house with my hair in rollers.”

The pop princess has received bucketloads of criticism over her skills as a mum to young son SEAN PRESTON.

She caused outrage when she was snapped driving on a busy highway in Malibu, California, with him on her lap — and as if it could get worse, she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.

Brit has also been investigated by social services after Sean fell from a high chair at her home while in the care of a nanny.

The worst moment came, though, with dramatic pictures of Britney coming terrifyingly close to dropping the tot in New York last month as she held him and a drink. The incidents have all added fuel to the fire and led critics to say she isn’t coping with motherhood.

Now Britney has decided enough is enough — and has hit back.

She admitted: “There will be plenty more ‘oopses’. I am not perfect. I am human. But you know what? I’m a good mom. I think it’s cruel when you judge people — but if that’s what you wanna say, then OK.”

Brit reckons she is at her happiest when she’s playing the homemaker role, and is determined to prove she is more than capable.

She said: “I like to cook — I try to cook — and I like to clean. I’m obsessed like that. Doing the laundry, everything. I’d be cleaning if someone dropped by. That’s the real me.”

Britney, who has given up her party lifestyle to be a housewife, considers herself a DIY expert and, inspired by TV makeover shows, often turns her hand to jobs round her Malibu mansion.

She said: “I like to watch the re-doing-the-house shows. And I get re-doing the living room and the baby’s room and all that stuff.”

When asked about her January 2004 marriage to Jason, she replied: “I don’t regret anything. With him, I think I was just wanting a sense of home. In my own mind I said, ‘I’m just going to get married to one of my home friends.’ ”

She added: “I had been on the road for a while. I was doing a lot of what I was told instead of what I wanted to do. And I didn’t know how to break out of that.”

She then went on to explain her broken relationship with Madonna. The pair struck up a friendship when the superstar featured on her hit Me Against The Music and quickly took up Madge’s beloved Kabbalah.

But Brit has since ditched the religion — and also lost her pal in the process.

When asked if they still have a relationship she said: “No. I respect her work and I think she is a very smart lady. She introduced me to Kabbalah. But that was at a time in my life when I was really searching for something.”

Britney also insisted everything was fine between her and second hubby KEVIN SPENDERLINE.

The 'obsessed with cleaning' part doesn't fly with me, not since everyone else who knows Britney, like her minders and such, say shes a filthy pig. And you've just got to look at her to know that. If she was a neat freak, her appearance would reflect that.

I love how the British press, and yeah, the American tabloid press, will seize on every public utterance or television appearance and remake it until it sounds almost like they were given an exclusive interview instead of rehashing old news. This is almost word for word from the Matt Lauer interview last week. The problem with reading it in print is that it sounds almost reasonable, unlike when we were watching it spewing from Britney gum-chomping mouth while her titties nearly spilled out of her shirt. You have to watch the interview to get the entire effect.

Who knows, maybe she's the opposite of one of those people you see who always looks clean and perfectly turned out, but when you walk into their home it's an absolute pig sty. In other words, her home is vaccuumed and dusted and free of clutter and laudry piles, but then she looks like a hot mess in need of a shower. heh

I a major public bathroom germ phobia, I say I am a poopaphobe, and this is NASTY. It is like having a nightmare and finding myself in a public bathroom without shoes.

Brit has absolutely no etiquette. She was chomping on gum like a cow eating grass, her breasts were about to fall out and her jean skirt barely covered her butt when she sat down. Her make up looked horrendous like a child panted it and her hair was greasy and unbrushed.

It amazed me how inarticulate and uneducated she really is. She was unable to complete an entire sentence. Matt kept ending her sentences and she would simply agree. She was also unable to follow the conversation. Matt was trying to ask her if all the attention about her being a bad mom had some validity because some of her actions were dangerous and she didn't get it. She kept saying that's America for you, and laughing saying accidents happen.

She was unable to describe why she loved her husband, she said, “His heart, he’s a man” and other things like that. It was just bad. She wouldn’t describe her son. All she had to say was he’s growing, he’s starting to walk & talk. Something simple but she couldn’t. She doesn’t know what type of music to make and couldn’t tell Matt what she listens to. She didn’t understand the negative connotation with “Redneck”. She said she thought it was horrible to place labels on people and then said “We’re Country”. One of the most annoying things was the air quotes that wouldn’t end. Please someone explain to her what quotes are used for.

The killer was when she said she’s creating a children’s clothing line because she loves money. It’s very sad that Britney was never able to mature and develop her own mind. She really is a pretty little thing with no talent. She should really read a book, or take some sort of a course. It angers me to see women who could empower other women but instead chose the easy, bimbo route. Someone should have been there to look after her. Her mind simply hasn’t developed – she’s still a little girl.

I find everything that Britney says is just stupid. I am a young mother of 3 who was raised in the same "country" way. I also would sit on my mom's lap and drive but it was in our neighborhood not on a highway. We are also suppose to learn from our parents mistakes. Twenty-five years ago they did not enforce car seats. My mom now says that if she would have known then what she does now she would have done things alot differently. Britney is a moron and has no common sense at all. I do not feel sorry for the mess that she has made. Money does not make you smart and classy.
