Kirstie Alley hits her target weight
'Cheers' for Alley as She Hits Her Target Weight
By WENN| Tuesday, June 13, 2006
HOLLYWOOD - Former Cheers star-turned-diet champion Kirstie Alley is celebrating after reaching her weight loss goal months ahead of schedule.
The actress had hoped to lose enough weight to feel comfortable modeling a bikini on pal Oprah Winfrey's TV show in October, but she's hit her target four months ahead of schedule.
Alley, a spokesmodel for Jenny Craig diet plan, has lost a staggering 69 pounds, according to Jenny Craig spokeswomen Tania Azar, who tells In Touch magazine, "Now she wants to lose up to 75 pounds.
Kirstie has had a consistent and steady weight loss ever since she started the diet... Right now the focus is on maintenance and physical activity."

Re: Kirstie Alley hits her target weight
I do wonder why she didn't just use vitamins and auditing sessions to get to the root of her weight problem? I mean, according to her "religion" those two things work for all of your problems, right?
Snark aside, I'm glad she's reached her target weight. Although, I swear she's had to lose more than what she's admitting.

Re: Kirstie Alley hits her target weight
Jenny Craig - do they teach you how to eat properly and prepare healthy meals, or do they just sell premade low-calorie meals? If it's one of the premade meal plans, chances are good that she'll just gain all the weight back [+ extra] when she goes off the diet.
Diets that don't teach you how to be healthy in the first place are a huge waste of time and money and the weight loss is usually short-term.

Re: Kirstie Alley hits her target weight
Yeah, it's pre-made, low-calorie meals. And it's $$$$. I tried it and that was the most expensive 20 pounds I ever lost. I don't get why people just won't eat "normal" food, but WAY smaller portions. Add some exercise and you're golden. Much cheaper and very easy. I lost 50 pounds a few years back with this method and have found it very easy to keep the weight off.

Re: Kirstie Alley hits her target weight
I have done Jenny Craig twice, and yes it does work, and yes it's expensive. Probably Weight Watchers is better. I have some friends who have had a lot of success with that program.

Re: Kirstie Alley hits her target weight
Has she really lost the weight as I have seen photos of her recently and she isnt looking that great.... in fact I think she still looks huge but the photos could be old that the magazines are using??
