Juliet Lewis says druggies are boring
Last updated: Tuesday, June 13, 2006 JULIETTE: DRUGGIES ARE BORING
© RetnaJuliette Lewis claims people who take drugs are boring.
The actress-turned-singer famously divorced her parents at 14, was arrested for being underage in a nightclub at 16 and checked into rehab in her early twenties.
Lewis now insists her drug using days are over and her wild behavior is firmly behind her.
She confessed to Britain's Stella magazine: "I've been drug-free for ten years."
"And I resent, especially in the rock 'n' world, the 'tell us some drugs and sex stories' attitude."
"It's real boring. It's not radical to take drugs any more. There are no more excuses."
Lewis also revealed she no longer speaks to former boyfriend Brad Pitt - who she lived with in her late teens.
She said: "What is there to say? The press love to know about him because he's a name, but I don't know what is going on and I would never lend a quote about somebody's personal life."

Well...I like that. But she was definitely a lot less boring when she was a druggie. Not that I'm advocating drugs...

Boring people who can't handle their drugs are worse.

Sure she did! It's called religion!
Or pseudo-religion to be fair (Scientology).

Boring or not, $cientologist or not, at least she's not rehashing publically her relationship with Brad Pitt unlike someone else I could (Manistorn) mention.

Druggies are boring? Of all the things you could say about a druggy, she chose this. I have some advice - read a book!

Re: Juliet Lewis says druggies are boring
For some reason I can't picture her reading books. She always seemed kind of mentally challenged to me...or at least "slow". Even before that movie where she played a *special* (or whatever the PC term is) person.

Re: Juliet Lewis says druggies are boring
It's interesting that so many of BPs relationships have been with women who are estranged from their parents. Wonder why that is? Juliette Lewis is just a strange duck. Hearing that she "divorced" her parents at 14 makes perfect sense.

Re: Juliet Lewis says druggies are boring
Gwyneth Paltrow is not estranged though. But i never knew Juliette was estranged and @ 14 (is that even legal)!!
MrsDark, i agree with you regarding the "mentally challenged", i have always felt that too.

Re: Juliet Lewis says druggies are boring
I think at 14 you would have to file for legal emancipation from your parents.
