Charlotte Church slams 'bloody awful' Paris Hilton's song

Welsh pop star CHARLOTTE CHURCH has mocked PARIS HILTON's move into music, insisting her forthcoming single smacks of "NASA technology".

The classically-trained singer is unimpressed with the blonde socialite's foray into pop, branding debut track SCREWED "bloody awful".

She says, "When I heard her song I thought, 'Wow, isn't it amazing what NASA technology can do with someone's voice.

"Paris is bloody awful. Honestly I heard a bit of it on the radio and it's terrible. Everyone to their own but it's not like she needs the money."

Um, Charlotte Church is considered by many to be one of the BEST singers in the world. She is a classically trained singer, with the widely-used nickname "Voice of an Angel". I do not even care for opera-style music, but i have 2 of her CDs. Her version of "Ave Maria" gives me chills & makes tears stream down my face, every time i hear it. The girl can sing (major understatement), and is FAR from a "nobody in the entertainment world". (That was, IMO, a bizarre statement that you made, about one of the most talented singers in the world, who has sold tens of millions of albums.) Paris Hilton IS INDEED a complete JOKE of a singer, and Charlotte Church is MORE THAN qualified to point that out.

I think Charlotte Church has a right to bitch for the meer fact that people like Paris Hilton think that they can throw an album together and market themselves as "singer". Do you realize that now everytime we have to hear Paris' name we will have to hear, "socialite, reality TV/Movie Actress , and singer . Totally agree I don't care for opera either, but I have her first CD and good LORD she can really sing. Parisite is just ridiculous.
