KEIRA KNIGHTLEY is grateful for her role in critically-panned thriller DOMINO, because the movie toughened her up.
The PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN star played the late daughter of actor LAURENCE HARVEY, a former Ford model who rejected her privileged Beverly Hills life to become a bounty hunter.
While Knightley admits the film didn't help her career, she has benefitted on a personal level despite the lukewarm reception by critics.
Knightley tells British movie magazine Hotdog, "It was really sad because I thought it was a really in-your-face kind of film about this young woman who was tough as hell.
"I have no regrets about playing Domino, because getting inside her head helped toughen me up and made me less of a 'fraidy-cat', which I can be sometimes."

It's usually the good movies that don't fair as well at the box office. I like her, she's got an endearing quality to her. I like her a lot in Pride & Prejudice.

Domino wasn't bad at all. It had good, nonstop action, the plot was decent. Tony Scott never claimed that he wanted it to win an Academy Award. Pretty crazy that the real Domino ended up killing herself around the same time the movie came out.

I'd say if she had a good time making it, it helped her creatively, she learned to hone her craft and she had a positive experience, then that's what being an actor is all about.

^Exactly. I like how down to earth she is and also how she doesn't say bad things about the movie, just b/c it wasn't a boxoffice hit, like some other actresses have. cough*jen aniston*cough

So Domino wasn't bad?
The concept appeals to me, and I'm way overdue for watching some good brainless action, but I just can't wrap my mind around the concept of Keira Knightley as an action heroine. Keira. Knightley. As an action heroine.
Nope, looks just as hilarious no matter how many times I type it!
