Tom Cruise reportedly has purchased all of the Baby Einstein DVDs and books to begin baby Suri's "enhanced learning" program a published report claims. That has the fabulous Katie Holmes "freaking out," reports Life & Style citing a friend of the couple.
Katie and Tom Debate Suri's Care?
The friend also tells the magazine the battle has spread to the infant's toys which reportedly have now been shoved into a corner to make room for pile of the "genius" toys.
The friend also details - according to the report - that Katie believes this may be pushing the two-month old infant too far and Tom may be expecting too much.
"Just when Katie thought things were settling down, now she has to deal with flashcards and DVDs," the friend tells L&S.
"Her quiet time with Suri has been reduced to only a brief period before bedtime.
Suri was born in an L.A.-area hospital on April 18 – just down the hall from where one time Cruise nemesis Brooke Shields gave birth to her daughter Grier on the same day.
The child weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 inches.
Tom then immediately had to leave the country to promote the opening of his film, M:I: 3.
The couple have had several reports that claimed Katie was suffering from a bout of "baby blues" but those have been denied and the pair have been spotted out at Conor's baseball games looking happy together.

Of course we all know Thetan Tom doesn't believe in doctors. If he did, he might know that they don't recommend TV for kids under the age of 2. I'm sure he knows best though.

No, they aren't. They were actually invented by two moms I believe. Disney has bought the rights to them.
My son loves the art books. But I didn't shove them in his face at one month old.
Tom should spend more time holding and hugging his infant child than sticking flash cards in her face. I think all this "smart baby" stuff is crap. They just need love, attention and quality time with their parents.

^^^ Hear, hear! I didn't shove any cards or gadgets in my kids' faces when they were babies and as they grew up. Holding them, showing affection, interest and talking to them are all they have ever needed or wanted, even now.
They *seem* to be normal anyway - none of them are space aliens or in jail! lol

Baby Einstein recently had a complaint submitted to the Federal Trade Commission for false marketing for their claims that the videos are educational and benefit children. It'll be interesting to see how that pans out. Researchers have found that TV viewing by children under the age of 3 is associated with irregular sleep schedules and the American Association of Pediatrics recommends no 'screen media' for children under two.
Poor little Suri having flashcards shoved in her face when there is a great big beautiful world to explore.

My daughter was completely transfixed by Baby Einstein. There was a time that she was crying and I put on Baby Mozart (DVD) and she stopped cold.
She doesn't really dig them anymore, but it was like herion to her for awhile there.
They're not going to make her any smarter....it's just puppets and shit.

I doubt doing all this is going to make Suri any smarter.... probably just bore her to death.
And I agree where are the photos???? Has anyone seen her??

I used to work at Babies R Us and I never could figure out why someone would pay so much for that sh*t. Honestly, I don't think it can hurt the kids but I also don't think it'll make them significantly smarter. But of course, what do I know? Dr. Spock, eh, Dr. Xenu knows best.

They are probably waiting for Katie to lose all the weight before taking official photos.
Seriously though... What is he so afraid of? Can't they take the baby out for a walk using a Baby Bjorn or stroller? Is she confined to going for walks on their grounds?
