Lindsay Lohan asks Madonna for help in house-hunting in London

In fact, it was the Croydon-born supermodel who introduced her young pal Lindsay to the wannabe rocker.

Four weeks ago, Lindsay and Jamie, 20, were seen smooching in New York. Now she plans to up sticks, just to be near him.

"I'm getting a place in London - I kind of like a boy there," Lindsay reveals. "I'd much rather go out in London than LA. From what I've seen, people don't care as much.

"I love London so much I've been talking to friends about moving there. I can't wait."

Lindsay currently divides her time between a suite at LA's Chateau Marmont and one at New York's Mercer Hotel, which she shares with designer Marc Jacobs.

And since setting her sights on a home in England, she has turned to fellow Anglophile Madonna for advice.

Our spy says: "After Madonna's gig in Las Vegas last weekend, Lindsay was asking her about moving to London. Madonna moved here six years ago to be with Guy Ritchie and Lindsay wants to do the same - she thinks it's dead romantic. Madonna was telling her where to live, the best shops and the best places to party."

If Lindsay does settle on these shores, she won't be short of friends.

Apart from Madonna and Kate, she is matey with Jude Law and Sienna Miller. Last week she was playing matchmaker to the warring lovebirds in Hollywood club Shag.

She also has another motive for moving over here - Lindsay dreams of starring in a West End show.

Our spy reveals: "She reckons it's all about 'the craft' now. She wants to leave the teen chick-flick roles behind and push her acting abilities."

regardless of what people say about lindsay...the bashing, name calling , all that...at the end of the day, she's a talented young actress (more than can be said for 90% of young hollywood), so more power to her if she's all about "the craft" now.

but i don't know how long the london thing will last...sounds like a trendy thing to do for young actors/actresses. she'll get over it. then again, she prob wants to get away from druggie dad.

i dunno how talented she is really. she's just kinda...eh, doesn't make the movie better or worse.

her best role was in the parent trap though, cute!!!

My thoughts exactly. She was at her best in parent trap, especially with the accents, but now...not so sure. I mean she's good, but she's not THAT good, and unfortunately, there's noone to compare her with in Hollyweird that's her age and all.

19 is so young. I would expect insecurity and impulsiveness. If she would just stay off the tabloid radar for awhile and get serious about acting, she might be big someday.
