Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Nuptials: No Prenup, No Presents By Cris Bergman
May 23, 2006 They are the Australian Power couple™ and the long anticipated official confirmation that Keith Urban was to make an honest woman of Nicole Kidman is over.
No prenup, no presents needed
Even his country music buddies are ribbing him and giving him advice on how to deal with being married to the mega-star.
*** And now a report from the UK claims that Nicole is currently putting the finishing touches to her wedding in Sydney on June 25, when she’ll tie the knot with the country singer. The skinny - No prenuptial agreement and please no presents.
They are asking that guests give to their favorite charity.
Vic Newsome gives these details:
*** The Catholic ceremony will take place at Nicole’s favorite chapel, just north of the city. The newlyweds will then enjoy a week-long honeymoon at the Wakaya resort in Fiji, one of the bride’s fave hot spots.
I also hear that Nicole sent a letter at the weekend to all her friends and family requesting NO presents.
I suppose it’s hard to buy something for the girl who has everything. And her multi-millionaire fiancé isn’t exactly short of a few bob either.
Instead, the happy couple have asked friends to donate gifts to charity. The note read: “Please understand your good wishes, prayers and friendship are all we want.
“Do not buy us gifts, however you may choose to make a donation to the charitable causes we support.”
*** Class acts all the way.

No presents, that's cool--like they need anything. They should make donations to a charity or something instead.
But no prenup?? BIG MISTAKE. Because we all know this won't last. Doubt they make it to their 2nd anniversary. Something to look forward to!

They probably don't need a prenup since they are both loaded on their own. Wonder what the laws are in Australia and Tennessee as far as community property. They are not marrying in California and will probably make Tennesee the residence of record so I wonder how that would play into a divorce. Any lawyers on here who can speak to that?

^^^ I doubt it. They'll probably be locked up in the Scientology center reading about the evils of Catholicism.

I don't know why...but I just don't care. As a couple, they leave me cold.

Let me man-steal Keith Urban from Nicole Kidman, and let him know what it's like to be with a chick with a little meat on her bones (laughs deviously).

Actually she performed quite the faux pas. It is extremely poor etiquette to tell a guest of your wedding how to spend their money. It is poor etiquette to even mention people buying you presents. Yes people register for presents for their wedding, but it should never ever be mentioned in an invitation. If people want to get you a gift(and let's face it when you go to a wedding you give some sort of gift be it money or something off the registry or just a present in general) they will ask you or a family member where you are registered. I'm surprised that someone who is seen to be so "classy" would commit an etiquette faux pas like that. Very poor taste Nic...
