She's probably right, though its a strange thing to say.
TAUTOU: 'I'M NO BEAUT, BUT I AM CUTE'
THE DA VINCI CODE actress AUDREY TAUTOU insists she could never be described as a real beauty - instead declaring herself "cute". The French screen star, 29, believes she lacks the "wow" factor of actresses such as MONICA BELLUCCI, but she's still got appeal. She says, "I don't consider myself pretty. I consider JULIA ROBERTS or Monica Bellucci, those kind of women, as beauties. "But me, I'm cute."

Why strange? She was probably answering a question, actresses are expected to behave normally here
I don't think it's a strange thing to say at all. It's not like she went on & on boasting about how beautiful & sexy she is...In fact, she pointed out she feels she is NOT beautiful. Audrey IS cute. And i commend her for having healthy self-esteem and the nerve to admit it without the fear of other people thinking, "Oh she must be conceited; she called herSELF 'cute'." I just don't see anything wrong with people talking about their own positive qualities--as long as they are actually true.Originally Posted by bella

Haha, no I agree that she's cute and not beautiful but I was laughing at the quote 'I'm no beaut, but I'm cute'. That is strange![]()
I think she's one of the most beautiful actresses out there. She's selling herself way short!
A perfectly normal thing to say. I agree with her btw![]()
How refreshing to hear such a statement, Eva Longoria, are you listening??
She is natural, with beautiful big eyes, in Amelie she was sooo cute !!
Maybe with the right clothes, nice haircut and nice makeup she could look way more better than just a cuttie.
Never is too late to make a change.
