McCartney published a statement on his website yesterday, saying, "It's been suggested that she married me for the money and there is not an ounce of truth in this.
"She is a very generous person who spends most of her time trying to help others in greater need than herself."
McCartney's sentiments are echoed in Mills McCartney's book, which hits shops next week.
She writes, "They (the media) made me out to be a gold digger and I decided to keep my mouth shut and say nothing.
"Looking back, that was a mistake. That period turned out to be the darkest and most difficult in my life - worse even than losing my leg."
Mills McCartney lost her left leg in a road accident in Kensington, London, in 1993.

Paul sure doesn't need the money so I doubt that it's a staged thing is false. I'm voting ho gold-digger

I am guessing because she needs to help herself?! 
Saw her interviewed once and didn't care for her, although her causes for animals are to be commended. And I am sorry but I think Paul looks like a woman, I always have. Not to deny his talent, although I am not a Beatles fan, I just never got his appeal.
I like how Sir Paul said in his statement that he doesn't believe she married him for his fortune, that way it puts MORE pressure on her to accept a small divorce settlement. If she gets greedy, she loses her ally in Paul and come off as a gold digging ho.

Yeah, that is a bad picture. To be fair, at times she does look very pretty. Can't say for sure whether Heather is a gold-digging ho;I can't see inside that woman's heart. But I seriously doubt she married poor Paul for his good looks and his killer bod. Generous and charitable she may be, but I'm sure she didn't marry Paul unaware of his millions and millions and millions and...She should have been sweet to him instead harranguing him like a fishwife, and then she might still be living a life of ease.

Talk is cheap.. When all is said & done we will see how much gold she gets -and then see what she has to say. I'm so sick of people denying the truth, its pathetic. Too coincidental she has a book landing next week.
He's dumb if the reports are true that there is in fact No pre-nup.

She may not have married him for his money, although I'm sure it helped. She married him because despite all her bleating she has always been a publicity whore and just loves to bask in self-promotion. It's ALL about Heather and being Mrs Beatle for a while will have raise her profile very nicely thanks.

This is over for good. Mecca has finally come to his senses. So glad he decided to leave. She's one of the most rude, abrasive, egotistical people out there. She's famous for what? Marry Mecca. Please! She should have shut up and counted her lucky stars.
