Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie want to donate baby picture money to charity

How much is the photo of our forthcoming savior and most beautiful baby in the world? $5 million. Not too shabby. However, the ever cause conscious couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, will be donating those funds to UNICEF.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have sold the first picture of their unborn baby for a staggering $5 million, according to a report. The A-list couple - who are staying in Namibia while they await the birth of their first baby - have allegedly negotiated the huge fee with an American weekly magazine. The money will be donated to charity. A source is quoted in Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "They've signed a £2.6million deal with a publication and the money will go to children's charity UNICEF. "Angelina's very private but they figured they might as well use the opportunity of one child being born to help a lot of others."

Yeah, and she makes sure we know about it every single time. Technically, it's not her money, it's the magazine's. Why doesn't she just donate the money herself, which is practically pocket change for those two, and keep her childrens lives as private as they can be living in that circus? She's still using her baby's birth for good publicity, I don't see how that's any better than using it for monetary gain. And it's not like the paparazzi aren't still going to be going crazy for real candids of the baby.

I think Angelina has made a life out of charitable causes and brought good exposure to them, and I am NOT talking about her children. And if the magazines pays the Pitts for the pictures, then the $$ is theirs, I am sure if they said we want the $$ payable by cashiers check to us, they would get it! I read a long time ago that she divides her paychecks into thirds, 1/3 goes into her retirement, 1/3 goes to charity and the final 1/3 she gets herself. I sure as hell don't donate 1/3 of my income to charity, so again, good for her. Some people don't like her and it doesn't matter what good she does, they will find fault. This doesn't mean I don't find her freaky, cuz I do!! I just tend to give her freakiness some leeway for all the good *I* think she does for the world.

And you are right there will still be a media frenzy surrounding them for candids of their new baby.

but atleast they're using the money for the good of others AHEM (hint hint TOM!) and NO Scientology donations do NOT count as charity!

That's exactly what I think. Publishing pics of babies is wrong. no matter what. it makes them even more public figures, and it is like giving up their right to privacy for them. It's sad that everyone thinks of Apple and Zahara and the like as celebs in their own right.

and I am so sick of this Angelina is saving thw world BS. She is just doing her part like many, many others but people like to lool at her more and think that she is making a difference. I say prove it!

I understand what you're saying, but the woman practically holds a press conference every time she does a good deed. Yeah, she's doing a very good job advertising what a great person she is and how much money she gives away, but in the meantime she's made her two children as famous as she is. I'm not going to respect someone who does that and yes, I do believe that it has been in her hands to some extent. She has done various unnecessary photoshoots with them and has been known to tip of paparazzi when she was going out with Maddox. I think her motives are mainly selfish, that's why I don't respect what she does, not because she's freaky.

Although, I'm not a passenger on the Brangelina bandwagon, I will say that it's nice of them to donate the baby pic money to UNICEF. As for keeping the donation secret, that might be kind of hard, since they're superstars. It's the thought that counts.
