Default Major changes coming for Desperate Housewives?

Major Changes Coming for Desperate Housewives? By Jim Roberts
May 17, 2006 The ABC hit Desperate Housewives hit a bit of a sophomore slump this season as some of the plot lines became too complex and loose ends were left hanging for far too long. The series has taken a beating from critics in season two after being heralded in its rookie year.
Denton Says Changes are Coming for Season 3
The reason - the show is just too busy and needs to get rid of some of the non major characters. James Denton who plays Wisteria Lane's hunky plumber Mike Delfino, says that may be coming up.
***
According to Contact Music UK he claims many of the show's major characters, including himself, have had to take a back seat among too many new faces, but this is about to be remedied.
He explains, "You're watching the second season and Mike doesn't have much to do... but I just got the main storyline for season three and I'm pleased that Mike features more prominently.
"Our cast grew too much this year and some of the characters got lost in the shuffle. But we'll be losing a handful of actors at the end of this series and I don't think they're going to be replaced."
***
I agree - it's a fun show when it stays simple and keeps the neighborhood small. The cliffhanger is this weekend and that should drop some pretty good hints on some of the characters that may not return for season three.

Don't really watch, but maybe try to have the story lines a bit closer to real life maybe???? It's a tad over the top, at least what I have seen.
I'm a housewife and let me tell you, it ain't NOTHING like what the hell they are showing.....I wish believe you me.....

they need to lose all the people at Lynette's office, Bree's kids, and the Applewhites and stop introducing new characters every episode. I'd like them to keep the plots more neighborhood-centered next season instead of all over the place like it was this season. I really want Lynette to quit her job. I liked her scenes involving friction with the other PTA moms.

I gave up after the first season when I heard Alfre Woodward was going to keep someone tied up in her cellar.

Um, yeah the whole storyline w/ the Applewhites is unecessary.

I don't watch but I would suggest having Terri Hatcher & Eva Longoria killed off. Then, and only then, I would consider watching - mostly to watch them DIE!!

Sing it sistah! I've been a housewife a couple of times and it ain't nothing like that.

The best major change for me concerning "Desperate Housewives" would be if it were cancelled. The only problem would be that Jamie Denton is a super nice guy and I'd hate to have anything affect his job. He's one of the few real people in Hollyweird.

I watched the entire first series every single weel, but now, I can't actually remember what it was all about, so it can't have been that good. In fact I think I thought it petered off a bit towards the end, and then this series has been a pile of wank.

I'm sorry but, hearing that Season 3 is gonna be mostly focused on Mike is not appealing. I'm sorry but, I now only watch the show for Lynette. Mike and Susan is a bore. i find it hard to believe that all these men are falling head over heals for Teri hatcher and not Nicolet

I've watched a few episodes, they are going for the Dynasty effect but it went out with Melrose Place. They need to concentrate more on the characters they already have - get Teri a man who won't run or cancel the whole efn show!
