Did the Cardinals Warn Leinart on Drinking, Paris Hilton Photos? By Josh Hart
May 16, 2006 Arizona Cardinals QB Matt Leinart is telling anyone that will listen that he's really not the 'Hollywood' guy everyone is making him out to be. The
young man seems to have a chip on his shoulder and that can be a good thing for an NFL QB.
Keeping an eye on Paris
But his team may have warned him to
watch the paparazzi as just five days ago - he was photographed doing what is commonly called the "walk of shame" in celeb circles out of Paris Hilton's house with his jeans and shirt rolled up in his hand after partying with the heiress the night before.

Now Star Magazine claims the team is telling him to cool it:
Sources say Matt Leinart, 23, is getting pressure from his team, the Arizona Cardinals, to stay out of the news.
“They think his Hollywood lifestyle and dating Paris Hilton may be distracting him,” an insider tells Star. They especially do not want him photographed drinking in public!”

Hard to blame them after that photo hit the internet and the tabloids. No team, even the
Cards, want their franchise QB to be tabloid fodder.
But Leinart tells Dan Bickley of the Arizona Republic, "I won 37 of 39 college
games, and suddenly, I'm too Hollywood? That my arm strength is a negative? I mean, what's the deal? What happened here?"
"I'm so tired of the drama. The whole thing has just brought me down."

Mom says that it's all about nothing.
"Nick Lachey (another Hollywood Matt
friend) is just the most down-to-earth person you can imagine," mom Linda told the Republic. "And Paris is just a friend. Paris . . . I hope she can turn her story around because she's actually a very nice person."

Leaving Los Angeles to head to the desert should be good for Leinart.
