Jennifer Aniston: 'Success in 'Friends' hampered my movie career'

Actress JENNIFER ANISTON is convinced her success as RACHEL GREEN in hit US sitcom FRIENDS has hampered her movie career.

The star was thrilled to find fame with the hit series but admits after ten years of TV stardom, she is struggling to distance her self from the character - despite the show having ended over two years ago (04).

And she is wildly grateful to NICOLE HOLOFCENER, the director of her new film FRIENDS WITH MONEY, for giving her the chance to prove her onscreen diversity.

Speaking to British film magazine HOTDOG, Aniston says, "Unfortunately there are re-runs everywhere.

"Fortunately, we have directors like Nicole in the world who don't give a shit! That baggage didn't stop her seeing me as an actor".

Absolutely agree. She was nothing more than an unsuccessful actress who was in a series of unsuccessful sitcoms before Friends. Oh, and her dad was a soap opera actor.

Not Seinfeld.
And certainly not Friends.

You'll never escape, Jen. Fans will be screaming "Rachel!" when you
walk up the red carpet at 57...and you'll turn and wave, not realizing
that you're answering to your character's name...just like Gilligan.

I agree. She picks safe films that are c***, playing her standard Rachel Green character. She needs to stretch herself. Then we can see if shes mediocre or not. Get something gritty for christsakes and change your appearance on screen too. Im getting bored of the perfect hair.

She's done nothing but bitch about being Rachel Green. Remember the whole rachel 'do' in the 90's? She complained non stop about it. I'm so over her unless we're talking about Office Space.
