The Latino beauty's tell-tale roots were clearly visible down the centre parting of her otherwise golden locks at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday (07.05.06).
An onlooker said: "People could barely believe their eyes. She looked stunning in every other way but everyone was distracted by the inch-thick grey-white root."
J.Lo, who is due to turn 37 in June, was accompanied to the 2006 NCLP Alma awards - which recognises Latin performers and was hosted by 'Desperate Housewives' star Eva Longoria - by her husband Marc Antony.
The 'Maid in Manhattan' actress is usually the talk of the red carpet because of her famously curvy backside, but on this occasion the groomed star let her perfect image slip.
The onlooker added: "Considering it was one of the biggest events in the Latino calendar, you'd have thought she would have found time for a trip to the hairdressers and a quick re-tint."

Sounds like JLo is getting comfortable in her own skin and marriage - finally. Sure she can afford to get her hair done before an event, but isn't the point of being REALLY rich and famous is that one is now able to CHOOSE to look frowsy? lol

she's pregnant
you can't die your hair when your pregnant
someone like j-lo wouldn't forget to do her roots
she wants people to notice
if she didn't she'd have gone out with a wig on

I had to do a double take at the title, I thought it said Jennifer Lopez is turning gay. I thought it's about damn time. I think Mark does that to most of us.

I think you can dye your hair these days when you're pregnant, depending on what sort of product you're using.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that when I read the title. Though, it did take at least two times reading the post before I understood that it was about her hair. I suppose these kinds of things happen when you're being freakishly medicated for a simple cold.

You can. There are dyes out there that only contain natural substances and proteines- easier on the hair too.
I don't think bleaching is a good idea though, because of the peroxide

I dunno...my SIL is pregnant right now and she keeps bleaching her hair, even though "What to Expect" says to abstain just to be safe. I wish she'd quit highlighting anway, her hair is like straw now. I tried to use a flatiron on it and it was so dry. She has natural brown hair with a lot of grey, I wish she'd just color it brown again.

Why is it vain to want to keep your natural (or favorite) hair color when you're turning grey at a young age? I was about the same age as J-Lo when I started going grey out of the blue, and I still color it back to my natural color. I have no wrinkles and I think the grey just looks odd on me. I think she plainly couldn't care less about her grey, because with a staff as big as hers, surely somebody would have noticed and told her, as far as she hadn't noticed it herself yet.
