"He's even checked out this website that claims to guarantee a couple having a baby girl, and there's a book called 'Determining The Sex Of Your Baby', which is all about whether you can plan to have a boy or a girl."

Victoria has even picked a name for a baby girl - Luna. She revealed: "I love the word Luna. I know it's a girl's name, so maybe for the next baby."

However, it is feared the former Spice Girl could be jeopardising her health if she has another baby. Women like Victoria, who have caesareans, are at greater risk of complications, and the risk is said to increase each time.

A source said: "Victoria knows all this, but she also knows how delighted David would be to have a daughter."

He should also subject himself to high G forces. Test pilots apparently have more girls than boys. It does something to the sperm.

I guess we can add this to the long list of things we really REALLY didn't need to know about celebrities!

If you have a normal 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period, ovulation occurs on cycle day #14. You can only conceive if you have unprotected sex on cycle day #13, 14, 15, or 16, each month. The male determines the sex of the offspring. If a man's fertilizing sperm carries an X chromosome, the child will be a girl. If it carries a Y chromosome, the child will be a boy.There are two types of sperm. Small, round headed sperm carry the Y chromosome, and the larger oval shaped type carry the X chromosome. It was found that when secretions in the vagina were more acidic than alkaline, the "female" sperms seemed to pevail. But when the secretions were more alkaline, the "male" sperm were clearly the winners. Alkaline secretions are kind to both types of sperm.Usually, the environment within the vagina is acidic, while the environment within the cervix and uterus is generally alkaline. The closer a woman gets to ovulation, the more alkaline her cervical secretions become. Therefore timing of intercourse is a critical factor in choosing the sex of children. Intercourse at or very close to the time of ovulation, when the secretions are most alkaline, would very likely result in male offspring. Intercourse two or three days before ovulation, on the other hand, when an acid environment will prevail would be more likely to yield female offspring. Therefore the following should be tried to help increase the chances of a boy:
1- Intercourse should be timed as close to the moment of ovulation as possible.
2- Intercourse should be immediately preceded on each occasion, by a baking soda douche, consisting of 2tbs of baking soda in a quart of water. This allows the soda to becme completely dissolved.
3- Female orgasm is not necessary but is desirable. If a woman normally has orgasm, her husband should time his to coincide with hers or let her experience orgasm first.
4- Vaginal penetration from the rear is the recommended position. This helps ensure deposition of sperm at the entrance of the womb. This is desirable because the secretions within the cervix and womb will be highly alkaline.
5- Deep penetration at the moment of male orgasm will help insure deposition of sperm close to the cervix.
6- Prior abstinence is necessary. Intercourse should be avoided completely from the beginning of the monthly cycle until the day of ovulation. This helps insure maximum sperm count, a factor favoring Male sperm.

Oh my God how stupid is he?? Everybody knows that having sex doesn't make you have a girl because you can't get pregnant if you have sex standing up!! Just like you can't get pregnant on your first ever time!

I really don't believe that David is the one that wants the baby girl. I think that Vicky is the one doing all this stupid research to conceive a girl and David is just going along for the ride. BTW I do not believe that these two are having sex. She is never seen with the kids. So now she's going to have another kid to ignore

My sister's MIL decided she wanted 4 kids - boy/girl/boy/girl and followed the acid/alkaline, diet and timing of conception stuff (see asha22's post) and she got what she wanted. Not saying that's WHY it worked, could have been coincidence, but it's worth a try. Standing up won't make ANY difference. I always got the impression that Vic's 3rd kid, Cruz (the result of her makeup sex after she found out Daaaayvid was cheating with the help) was/is a huge disappointment.
