YUMMY mummy Angelina Jolie gave in to pregnancy cravings — and had peanut butter-filled chocs flown to her African hideaway.
The treats, Reese’s Pieces, were sent from US makers Hershey to Namibia where Angelina is preparing for the birth of her baby with Brad Pitt.
The Tomb Raider star, 30, and hunky Brad, 42, are staying with her two adopted children at the luxury Burning Shores hotel near the coastal town of Swakopmund.
A source at the resort revealed: “The cry went out, but none of the sweets could be found. Angelina was so determined she ordered a huge box straight from the factory in Pennsylvania.
“She hasn’t had many cravings during her pregnancy but suddenly got the taste for their peanut butter and chocolate combo.”
Angelina is said to have fallen in love with the area when she played an aid worker in 2003’s Beyond Borders. She has been staying there for a month with Maddox, four, Zahara, one, and Brad.
The sweets have a crispy outer shell, like M&Ms and Smarties and were one of the first nibbles “product placed” in a movie when they featured in ET in 1982.

I wonder if she shared them with all the starving children there.

Wow, I hope she enjoyed the kerosene taste these chocs must have had...
I guess pregnant Namibian women do the same all the time.

Wow. Next time I get pregnant by my actor boyfriend and we are on a sabbatical waiting for the birth of our African child, I too shall demand that Hershey provide me with the nurishment of Reese's peanut butter cups.

Angie does far more humanitarian work than so many people, and more than anybody on this board could ever hope to do. I just wish sometimes people would give her a break.

I am giving her a break. I am actually jealous she has such money and power to do that!

When you're not coherent in what you do, you lose credibility IMO. But I'm not going to make a big deal out of it

I've met a lot of professors who were a bit incoherent...doesn't mean they're dumb or underqualified

Being coherent is the hardest thing. But when you're so much in the public eye, everything you do is magnified so if you're trying to convey a message you've got to pay attention not to act in an opposite way.
I must say I am bothered by the celebs flying all around the world all year long, let alone having stuff flow to them.

I've craved Reese's Pieces when pregnant, so I understand. However, the vending machine at work had them, so I didn't need to go far! Did she have them shipped like anything else that would get ordered to be delivered OR did she have a special plane sent with them? I guess I don't see it as so bad if it's like ordering anything else.

I really like Angelina, but I can't help thinking that this money she spent on having a box of chocolates flown from USA to Africa, could have gone to a much better cause.
If she was such a 'humanitarian' (I don't mean that sarcastically) then surely she wouldn't throw away her money to do something silly like this? Of course if she had them sent free, then good for her but if not, bit of a waste isn't it?
