Kevin Costner's Ex speaks out about his scandal

KEVIN COSTNER's former girlfriend BIRGIT CUNNINGHAM has leaped to the star's defence after hearing allegations the actor performed a lewd sex act in front of a masseuse while honeymooning in Scotland in 2004. The blonde socialite insists the screen star, who visited the five-star Old Course Hotel spa in St Andrews with his second wife CHRISTINE, would never be so "vulgar". And Cunningham, who dated Costner during the 1990s, has suggested the therapist may have fabricated the claims after being rebuffed by the hunk. She says, "Kevin is very romantic and tender, he would never do anything so vulgar. "He would be more interested in a long loving kiss rather than the naughty bit. He really is Mr Perfect, squeaky clean, if a little naive when it comes to realising the effect he has on girls. "Women are always throwing themselves at him but he hates being chased. Maybe she made an advance, was rejected and wants revenge."

Me too! Sure he has his faults - we all do - but the allegations just don't make sense to me. There are so many opportunists out there and what's most unfortunate is that it's his word against hers. Even if he is innocent, people will always presume he was guilty. There's no way he can win this battle!

Sounds like a load of bullocks. The guy was known, while married to his first wife, for fucking anything with half a pulse, hence the divorce. He's a walking hard on, apparently.

i wouldn't doubt that he did do it...he has a reputation for being quite a cad, as i recall. he's yucky, tho...i wouldn't touch him w/ a ten-foot pole. i never quite got his sex appeal.

didn't he leave his first wife who was with him in the beginning as soon as he got famous? I don't know if i am remembering it properly though. my moms friend knew her (the first wife) the there of them went to lunch something something ...there is a story but i never cared, sorry!

No the first wife left him shortly after filming Robin Hood. He was apparently banging everything that moved (or it was rumored).

The masseuse is not suing Costner, she is suing her employer who fired her after she complained about what happened. She isn't trying for a civil suit, but is suing for backpay and possibly penalties from the employer.

As for the ex girlfriend, maybe she was paid off, or is an actress and figures that if she's nice about this she'll get some sort of "once in a lifetime" role for playing nice.
