Nicole Richie reveals more on Paris split

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Nicole Richie says it's unlikely she will kiss and make up with former reality TV co-star and ex-best friend Paris Hilton in the near future.

Fox TV has canceled the fourth season of "The Simple Life" citing scheduling problems. However, there is widespread speculation Fox's decision had more to do with its feuding stars than anything else.

In the November issue of Jane magazine, Richie reveals the rift with Hilton has actually been going on longer than reported, MTV.com reported Thursday.

"We really haven't been friends in probably about two years," she said.

Hilton turned the end of their friendship into a media event, appearing on a host of talk shows last April and telling print interviews the friendship was kaput. Richie, however, remained silent as Hilton aired their dirty laundry.

"I know that Paris loves to talk about it and that stuff, but that's just not my style," she told Jane.

As for a reconciliation between the former friends, Richie said: "No, not at this point.

Right, dumbass... if it's not your style stop mentioning it in EVERY interview that you do while claiming that you don't like to talk about it. I've heard Nicole blabbing about it a lot more than Paris.

Got this off of the MSN Gossip site. I thought it was kinda interesting.

Meanwhile, speculation is running rampant over the identity of the person Hilton was spewing venom about during a night out in L.A. earlier this month with pals Bijou Phillips and Kimberly Stewart.

In a video shot by paparazzi, a pouty Paris climbs out of her car amid a crush of shutterbugs and spits loudly into her phone, "She's so ugly and jealous. She's just a jealous ugly anorexic idiot."

Stewart attempts to shush her pal (you gotta figure you've crossed a line when Kim is the voice of reason), but Paris continues her tirade, adding for good measure, "I know, she's pathetic."

Nicole might be b*tchy and annoying in her own right, but at least she's classy (and I use the term loosely) enough to not talk about it.

Hey when I posted that blip from the article earlier about Paris bashing the anorexic, I thought it was Nicole, but it might be Mary Kate since she is now all over her ex BF.

i heard that it was because in the Simple Life, Nicole Ritchie was starting to get more attention and that pissed Paris off. So when Paris was going to show her new movie House of Wax at her House, Nicole switched the tapes to Paris' sex tape.

Nicole probably decided that it was time to grow up a little. Paris (poor little rich girl) has no intention of growing up, so they went their own ways.
