Distraught mom Britney Spears has fired her nanny.
The singer made the decision to get rid of little Sean Preston’s keeper in the wake of the child falling from his highchair, according to In Touch Weekly.
Britney has been “hiding out and depressed” since her son’s head-bonking incident and cancelled plans to celebrate her brother Bryan’s birthday, the mag reports. “She wanted to be a mother and thought she could snap her fingers and be the perfect mom,” a “pal” told the mag. “But Britney is learning the hard way that being a good mother is something you always have to work at.”
Britney also reportedly hired a doctor to advise her on how to keep her tot safe. “The doctor advised her not to leave Preston on any high surfaces where he could roll off,” an insider told the ITW, which also reports that Spears was so impressed with the sage advice that she wanted to hire the doctor full time, but he told her that it wasn’t necessary.
But apparently, childcare is putting additional pressure on Spears’ marriage to her aspiring rapper hubby, Kevin Federline. The two got into a spat over whether to go to his hip hop show at the Las Vegas club Pure last week. “Kevin wanted Britney to stay out that night, but she refused,” an insider told the mag. “She wanted to stay at the hotel with the baby because she felt uncomfortable leaving him with the nanny.” So Brit spent the night in her hotel room while Kevin partied.

She needed a doctor to tell her not to leave the kid on high surfaces?

About 90% of parenting is common sense. You don't need an expensive medical doctor to tell you that you should be awake when your baby is awake, or to strap the baby in the highchair, or to turn the pot handles to the back of the stove so the baby doesn't grab one and dump boiling soup over his head, etc. These are things any reasonable human being can figure out. They aren't rocket science.

Guess she expected little Cheeto to come with an instructions tag hanging from his wrist. "Feed me, clothe me, change me, love me, take care of me yourself, not a nanny's job, and last but not least, I know I look like an angel but I don't fly, I will fall down and go boom if you leave me on high surfaces."

That whole article sounds like bullshit but it's amusing none the less. Can you imagine the horror of being the Spears-Federline nanny? Changing diapers in the wafting air of blunt smoke, stepping over Cheeto crumbs and dog turds, taking care of a child who's parents fight all the time. Do her and SPF hid in the nursery when the fights start?

She fired the nanny? She should fire herself. If they hurry, a good and decent family could still adopt this child and save him from them!

She sure impresses easily!

Most of parenting is common sense, however I think that we can all recognize the fact that is something that Britney is completely lacking.

When I had my first daughter, I had never changed a diaper and had barely held an infant. My parents were deceased, my older sisters lived far away and I had no college degree, I was also only 24. SOMEHOW I managed to use my common sense. I am always shocked at how stupid some parents are. I've seen parents put soda or koolaid in bottles. I've seem pregnant women stuffing chips, soda, and crap down their gullets. No one had to tell me this was not a good idea, my common sense did. Get the kid away from her!
