Angelina Jolie admits she's afraid of marriage

The stunner, who is engaged to Brad Pitt, 42, has revealed a troubled adolescence in which she self-harmed means she now finds it difficult to commit.

"A lot of my relationships just weren't honest enough," she told OK! Magazine, from the Namibian hideout where she and Brad are now staying. "I'm one of those people who needs to learn to let somebody hug me."

Angelina was also devastated when her father walked out on her family when she was just six-years-old.

She added: "My mother gave up her acting career to raise me and my beloved older brother after my father left us. My mum has taught me a lot about what it means to be a good person."

Angelina and Brad recently escaped to Africa and are rumoured to marry any day now.

Angelina is also pregnant with the couple's first child, who will be a brother or sister for her adopted children Maddox and Zahara.

She has been married twice before, first to British actor Johnny Lee Miller and then to Hollywood bad-boy Billy Bob Thornton.

she can't be that afraid of marriage or of having a family. I mean she's been married twice and is on her third kid.

Eh, I'm a bit older than her and have realized that you never stop being scared about some stuff. Alot of times you look like an adult but deep down, you're still just an insecure kid. Funny how you realize this just when everyone else thinks you've got it together.

I am a recovered self-injurer, bulimic, alcoholic, druggie and I am happy for her. I started when I was 12 and it was very hard to stop.

Marriage is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make in your life and it is a scary one! The fact that she has already failed at it twice would make me scared too.
