Default Michael Douglas: 'I'd rather be a good dad than a movie star'

Hollywood star MICHAEL DOUGLAS is more concerned about being a good dad to his two children than landing big budget movie roles.

The 61-year-old BASIC INSTINCT star, who has a five-year-old son DYLAN and two-year-old daughter CARYS with wife CATHERINE ZETA-JONES, insists his family comes before his career - despite having recently signed for five forthcoming Hollywood films.

The Oscar-winner reveals, "I probably care a whole lot less about roles now because I'm happily married. And I've got my own lovely children, as opposed to somebody maybe of my age who was alone and their career was the only thing in front of them.

"My priorities have clearly changed because family comes first, which I could never say earlier in my career."

HA! The old fart is 61 years old. No one is looking for him for a big part.

    It's remarkably late for either.

Doesn't seem like his wife shares his parental concern.
