Nicole Richie redesigns engagement ring to avoid a jinx

According to an insider, the 24-year-old would have donned her old ring if she wasn't so superstitious about jinxing the romance with a ring she cast aside when they split.
American magazine In Touch claims Richie recently met with jewellery designer NANCY DAVIS, who designed her first ring, about creating a new design.
A source says, "She wants a ring that doesn't hold any memories of the break-up."
Meanwhile, Richie is already telling her pals that she and Goldstein are "unofficially engaged", according to Life + Style magazine, and they plan to marry later this year (06).
