Kylie Minogue on the mend.

HERE is Kylie Minogue as her fans have been desperate to see her — a picture of health with a huge smile all over her face.

The brave singer looks relaxed and cheerful as she grins in poses for a very special photographer — her lover Olivier Martinez.

The pictures show just how well she is recovering from breast cancer — complete with a thick head of hair trimmed into a new elfin-like style.

Kylie, 37, had kept her head hidden under scarves and bandanas after she lost her famous long blonde hair during chemotherapy.

The snaps, which appear on her website www.kylie.com, were taken as she enjoyed a break in the Italian fishing village of Portofino as a guest of fashion designers Dolce and Gabbana.

Kylie revealed that she had cancer in May 2005 and two days later had a partial mastectomy in Australia.

In July 2005 she was warned that she was unlikely to become pregnant naturally after chemotherapy treatment. So in a new procedure she had slivers of her ovaries taken out and frozen.

Three months later Kylie had to employ a French nutritionist after her weight dropped to just 6st following gruelling chemotherapy in Paris, where she lives with 40-year-old actor Olivier.

In November she started radiation therapy in Paris and was told she would be too sick to travel back to Australia for Christmas. Then she had more chemotherapy to kill off any remaining cancerous cells.

She had her final session on December 18 before a tense Christmas waiting to hear if it had been successful. A scan in January showed she had no more cancerous cells in her body.

The next month Kylie announced that she was joining the fight to get women the “miracle” cancer drug Herceptin.

She has also been working on a new range of perfume and has developed designs for her Love Kylie lingerie range.

In March she travelled out to Sri Lanka to fulfil a dream of helping children orphaned by the tsunami.

And she has confirmed that she wants to play Glastonbury next year, as well as finish her Showgirl tour, cancelled when she learned she was ill.

Yeah, they really are beautiful pictures. I'm not much of a fan but I do wish her well.

I was never a fan of hers but these pictures are so unbelievably beautiful. Look at the joy on her face, you'd never know she's been through the hell she has. I think that's inspirational.
