BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S star AUDREY HEPBURN has topped a poll naming the most beautiful women of all time.
Hepburn, who died in 1993 aged 63, beat out competition from the late GRACE KELLY, who came second, and third-placed supermodel CINDY CRAWFORD.
Veteran actress SOPHIA LOREN came fourth and MARILYN MONROE fifth in the survey of 5,000 readers of UK magazine New Woman

At the exception of Grace Kelly none of those would have looked good without their full war paint on

Audrey Hepburn was a stunner...but I wouldn't think of her as A#1 on the most beautiful women of all time. Elizabeth Taylor in her heyday should be #1 IMO...and what the hell is Cindy Crawford doing in the Top 5?

I was just about to say, Elizabeth Taylor in her heyday was the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.

I always thought Sharon Tate was really beautiful, even without makeup.

Maybe they considered the entire package? Elizabeth Taylor did have a stunning face with gorgeous eyes, but her head was disproportionately big for her (lack of) height. She was officially 5'4", but many insiders say she was a pushing for 5'3" at best. Because her compact body was rather full on top, she quickly looked dumpy, bigger/heavier than she actually was.
Audrey was about four inches taller, and - although considered way too skinny by all of us normal women - she did have perfect proportions for fashion designers......
I'm just guessing, of course, for the reasons what the criteria for this list were

^Yeah, I def. think Audrey was too thin, but perfect for designer's clothes.
But Marilyn made the top 5, and she was thicker than Audrey...I just wonder where La Liz was on the list?

Audrey had certain great features(perfect doe eyes) but I would not say most beautiful woman. Loved her though and she certainly had class.

Audrey was way too thin. She had good bone structure yes, but not the most beautiful woman ever! That would be Ms Monroe, obviously.

I was wondering if it was a list with women who weren't surgically enhanced. I do know Audrey and Grace Kelly didn't have PS. But Marilyn Monroe of course had a chin implant, before which she was known by the studios as the "chinless girl" (although I found that to be quite unnecessary> she didn't have strong chin, but hardly was chinless). And Sophia is rumored to have had some nips and tucks.....

That's something I didn't know. You're just full of celebrity facts.

^Aaawww, shucks , I only saw it on Discovery in a special about how long Hollywood has been using PS and which stars had their looks altered. How some, like Marilyn, after only a slight alteration turned into huge stars.
It had not just PS but overall make-overs. Like Rita Hayworth's hairline and hair color (she really was half mexican, very dark brown haired, with a low hair implant, before she was made into a sexy redhead with an American sounding name), Ray Milland's hairline, Marilyn's chin, Greta Garbo's hair and teeth straightening and diet etc. etc. etc.

I think Audry and Grace are both stunner but i would never be able to choose one woman as the most beautiful of all time, it's so ridiculous and unrealistic.
