Eminem files for divorce from Kim Mathers again

I didn't see this posted, and do not know for sure if it's true, but...I also wouldn't be surprised!!!

Detroit-area rap star Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, has filed for divorce from wife Kimberly Mathers, Local 4 learned.

Eminem's lawyer filed the papers at the Macomb County Clerk's office Wednesday, according to Local 4.

The couple remarried at Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester, Mich., in January.

The Matherses' first marriage ended in October 2001, but they reconciled in late 2004, according to Local 4 reports. They have a daughter, Hailie Jade.

Don't worry, those pieces of white trash will be back together in 2 weeks!

DETROIT - Eminem's dysfunctional relationship with wife Kim has hit another low — he filed divorce papers Wednesday, less than three months after remarrying her.

The filing on behalf of Marshall Bruce Mathers III, Eminem's real name, was confirmed by Eminem's publicist, Dennis Dennehy, and two employees of the Macomb County clerk's office. They didn't provide their names, citing an office policy.

Dennehy had no other comment Wednesday.

The Grammy- and Oscar-winning rapper and Mathers remarried Jan. 14, a month after the couple announced they were getting back together.

Their first marriage ended after two-plus years in October 2001 in an ugly legal fight that included a custody battle over their daughter, Hailie.

Though the marital issues of most rappers wouldn't make headlines, Eminem has used his tormented relationship with Kim, his high school sweetheart, as a source of his most popular and demented rhymes. He's killed her off in song and assailed her with his lyrics — but that was before they got back together.

Eminem, 33, and Mathers, 30, reconciled in late 2004, and he announced in December 2005 that they would get back together.

The pair grew up in the suburbs along Eight Mile Road, Detroit's northern border.

Last August, it was announced that Eminem had entered a hospital to undergo treatment for sleep medication dependency. A month earlier, he denied reports that he was preparing to retire from recording.

Eminem rose to pop stardom by delivering a number of best-selling CDs, deeply personal lyrics and a starring role in the 2002 film "8 Mile."

He has won nine Grammys, including best rap album for "The Slim Shady LP," "The Marshall Mathers LP" and "The Eminem Show." He won an Oscar for the song "Lose Yourself" from "8 Mile."

He adopted Kim's niece and supposedly Kim's little girl from another relationship as well.

Anyone read the book "Cleaning Out My Closet"? It was written by a former friend of Kim's a few years ago. Interesting read.

Eminem's encore marriage to his high school sweetheart Kimberley Scott didn't last long. The rap star filed for divorce today in Macomb County Circuit Court, less than three months after re-marrying her at a closely-guarded ceremony at Rochester's Meadow Brook Hall.

The divorce filings mark the latest chapter in Eminem and Kim's notoriously up-and-down relationship.

Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, rapped about killing Kim and disposing of her body on his debut album, 1999's "The Slim Shady LP." A scene from the song is illustrated on the album's cover. He again fantasized about murdering her in graphic detail on "Kim," the most inflammatory track on 2000's controversial "The Marshall Mathers LP," but admitted in the twisted tale's chorus, "I don't want to go on living in this world without you."

Mathers and Scott, who have a 10-year-old daughter together, were first married in a small ceremony in June 1999 in St. Joseph, Mo. Mathers later filed for divorce in August 2000, following a suicide attempt by Scott after an Eminem concert at the Palace of Auburn Hills. The divorce was finalized in October 2001.

By last year the couple had reconciled, and she was seen at Eminem's performance at a Freedom Festival fundraiser in Detroit last June. During interviews, Eminem began referring to Scott again as his wife, and he announced in December he and Scott were planning to remarry.

They did so Jan. 14 before family and close friends, including fellow rappers 50 Cent, Obie Trice and members of D12 and G-Unit.

Eminem has been quiet since the ceremony. His only public appearance was during Super Bowl weekend at the Shady Bowl Super Party, where he performed briefly and mooned the media during a 30-second red carpet appearance

And yes, I read Cleaning Out My Closet by JR Watkins...the book was pulled from the shelves. Very interesting read.
