PITT'S HUMANITARIAN EFFORTS NOT INSPIRED BY JOLIE
2006-04-03 23:55:47 -
BRAD PITT denies his current dedication to global humanitarian efforts is the result of his relationship with UN goodwill ambassador ANGELINA JOLIE, insisting U2 rocker BONO is his inspiration.
The MR AND MRS SMITH stars have been dedicating their time to a number of charity projects in recent months and Pitt names Bono as his role model. He tells America's TV Guide publication Bono's high-profile efforts inspired him to become more involved in humanitarian works, calling the frontman, "A wonderfully dedicated beast unto himself."
Pitt narrates a new PBS documentary RX FOR SURVIVAL - THE HEROES which airs in America later this month (12APR06). The show focuses on individual heroes whose perseverance saves millions of lives across the globe. But the actor admits his charity work is soon slow down. He says, "My plan right now is to have a child." (SS/U/JB)

That's not a plan, that's a fact.

Ok a few pointers here Brad..................1/ You are not having the child...Angie is. Youve done your part!!! (lol....not being serious here btw!!) 2/ You werent much of a high profile humanitarian before Saint Angelina came along.............how longs Bono been at it????????And why havent you done any joint projects with him? 3/Slow down your charity work...............to have a kid...................hmmmmmmm. Wheres your dedication man?
Someone please prove me wrong. I would love to see evidence of Brads humanitarian work B.A (Before Angelina). Somehow i doubt he was at with with Anniston.............his priorites seemed to lie with spending as much of his hard earned cash on himself.

One campaign is with Bono not with Angelina. I agree though he became more active now but not as an activist as Angelina or Bono. Also, if i recall right he is among One Voice org. promoting peace between Palestinians and Israelis and this was long before he even met Angelina, but he basically lend his name to the org. unlike Richard Gere which is strong promotee of that org.
Personally i feel he is realistic when he said his next plan is preparing for the birth of his child. I don't expect expectant parent to be worried about global issues when his woman is about to give a birth soon. he is not a politician after all.
