Kate Moss "glad" to be exposed

Supermodel KATE MOSS has told her close pal SIR RICHARD BRANSON she was relieved when a British newspaper exposed her cocaine abuse - as it forced her to address the problem.

The catwalk beauty confided in the Virgin tycoon - who has known Moss since she joined his model agency Storm in 1999 - admitting she could have spiralled further out of control had the story not broke in the media.

Branson tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "The story coming out could have saved her from a much worse situation. I talked to her about it. She said it was the best thing that could have happened to her. When it broke in the press it was almost a release.

"She realised she had a problem which had to be addressed. It was an awakening."
