Antonio Banderas forced to use sword against intruder

Actor ANTONIO BANDERAS was forced to use his MASK OF ZORRO character's sword to defend himself against an intruder at his home recently.

The star, who plays masked hero ZORRO in the hit movie, was on the phone with his agent when he heard suspicious noises outside in his garden.

He explains, "I don't have fire weapons in my house, so while I was waiting for the police to arrive, I saw the sword there, so I picked it up. At the time I was wearing some jammies that my wife bought me, with hearts and flowers and stuff like that. So here I was in the middle of the garden with my sword and my funny jammies."

The DESPERADO star never found the suspected intruder, but police did arrive on the scene with some advice for the actor.

He adds, "I asked the police what I should do and they said, 'Just buy a gun.'"

He is such a character! He seems like someone you could meet in real life and sit down and just have a blast laughing and joking with him! I really like him and his wife (though I despise her horrible plastic surgery)

I lust for Antonio although the "jammies" comment is a bit of a turn off.

He probably mistook Melanie with a fresh round of ps or new trout lips as the intruder. I am telling ya, that would frighten the shit out of me. I'd be using more than a sword to fight her off.
