people.comMacaulay Culkin isn't quite sure where he belongs, or if he belongs at all.
"I don't know what people want from me," the onetime Home Alone star tells Time magazine in a new interview.
Culkin, 25, has had a difficult time parlaying his childhood success into an adult acting career. The young actor, who left the profession at age 14 only to return in 2001, added, "I'm the most out-of-work actor I know."
Culkin, who looks much as he did as a child, said he's ready to appear onscreen anytime. "Acting found me. I thought maybe I should try to find it again."
But the role that Culkin is best-known for these days is his friendship with Michael Jackson. The actor was called to testify on the singer's behalf last year in Jackson's child-molestation trial.
Culkin said that he doesn't often talk to the reclusive pop star. "He's … the kind of friend you talk to twice a year," he said.
With Culkin's time off-screen, the actor has been free to pursue other interests, including a semiautobiographical novel due to hit stores next week.
Junior, which one critic called "self-indulgently infantile," has been described as a stream-of-consciousness work, and is reportedly an experimental form that includes quizzes, journal entries, lists and more.
Culkin, however, makes no apologies for the book – or himself. "I've led a very isolated existence since I was 6 years old," he said. "It's kind of been me and my mind. I hope people don't think I'm crazy, because I'm not."

I am from the American CIA and I have a radio in my head. I am going to kill you.
I feel sorry for him.
He was great in "Saved" Very talented.
If I remember correctly, didn't he divorce his parents or one of his parents because they were exploiting him or spending all his money? I vaguely remember something about it...
I bet he does have some 'issues'....isn't he going to marry that chick off That 70's Show? That plays Jackie?
THE EASIEST WAY OUT IS THROUGH....
Yes, he was. I can watch that movie over & over.Originally Posted by UndercoverGator

ETA: Anybody see him in Party Monster? He did well in it. Another movie I can watch repeatedly.

Yip, yip, yip in your tiny indignation. Bark furiously on, lady dog.
He was great in "Saved" a very mature funny role. Im suprised he had'nt succome to the child star, anal abuction, drugs, cliches.
Scratch that, it's on his next thing to do list.
Im ashamed to say what I did for a klondike bar...
I thought he was really good in Saved and Party Monster. He should start acting again, but he should stick to quirky roles and indies.
I like him too. I hope he can make a come back. If Travolta did it surely Culkin can!
He should play a junkie in a gritty art house flick
